What is the MedScout MCP?
The MedScout MCP is an integration with Claude that brings MedScout data and capabilities into Claude's powerful AI models.
The MCP is currently in Beta. Reach out to your customer success manager if you'd like to get access.
What you need before you start
- A Claude account on your organization's workspace. This must be a Team or Enterprise business plan
- A MedScout account
- An Owner in your Claude organization who can add, or has already added, MedScout as a custom connector
Your MedScout permissions and territory access carry over into Claude.

FAQs
Can I use the MCP with other AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot? This is not currently supported out of the box. If you're the admin for the AI platform of choice, contact your customer success manager and we'll do our best to get you set up.
Does it cost my company anything to use the MedScout MCP? No. As this is a beta program, we are still fine-tuning the MCP, and there is no cost to use it. That could change in the future as we learn more about usage, but it wouldn't be without plenty of notice.
Can other people in my org or Medscout see my chats? No, unless you are in a Shared Project, in which case your colleagues also in that project would be able to see them.
What can Claude see? Exactly what you see. Your access through Claude mirrors your MedScout permissions, so nothing shows up in Claude that wouldn't show up when you log into MedScout directly.
How do I disconnect? Customize → Connectors → MedScout MCP → Disconnect. Access is removed immediately and your MedScout account isn't affected.
Do I always need to allow the MCP in each project? Not in Claude or Claude Code. You do need to enable it in each project in Cowork, as Anthropic does not currently allow you to globally allow custom connectors in that workflow.
