Strategies
Overview
Strategy Center is MedScout's module for pushing actionable insights directly to sales users. It is the results and analysis hub where reps and managers consume the output of strategies that have already been configured*. Rather than requiring reps to build their own searches, strategies let admins define criteria once and deploy them across your organization—automatically scoped to each user's context.
A strategy is a saved configuration that finds healthcare providers matching specific criteria for targeting and outreach. It combines three core components:
- Code sets — collections of medical codes (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, DRG, or DRUG) that define the procedures, diagnoses, or drugs you care about. These determine what activity you're looking for providers to be doing.
- Filter sets — collections of provider attributes that narrow down results, such as place of service, payer type, hospital system affiliation, specialty, GPO affiliations, CRM ownership/status, tags, etc.
- Geographic scope — typically a territory or region where you want to find providers.
When you run a strategy, MedScout returns a list of healthcare providers or sites performing the procedures or treating the conditions defined by your code set, filtered by your criteria, within your geography.

Good to know
- Strategy Creation: MedScout works closely with customers to define strategies. Currently, all strategies are built by MedScout.
- Managers: currently, managers cannot see strategy results for their entire team or a subset of their team's territories. The only results shown in the Strategy Center are for the user's primary territory.
- FIXME: Do we want to mention notifications? Or are they not relevant to reps and managers?
- FIXME: Anything else?
